First day of my Holiday Break and paddled a lap around McNeil Island (prison island). Nice paddle around the island seeing the prison and eagle island, saw lots of seals and sea lions on the way.

Spent a couple days down in Camas, WA visiting friends and brought the kayak along. Got out on a windy, wet day... Safe choice was to paddle Lacamas Lake, but couldn't resist the allure of the Columbia River. Got to really test out my gear and skills as it was an awesome time. My hands were numb before I hit the water, but they quickly warmed up when I got my gloves on...and my NRS Riptide jacket was amazing.

Beautiful River as I got to explore more of the Oregon side of the river. I don't know the river very well, but feel I got to explore areas I wouldn't have been able to in the summer thanks to high water levels.
